The Idol

Oscar-caliber lineage

SØHØ was mentored by the cinematic lineage of one of history's greatest filmmakers Satyajit Ray (lauded by Chris Nolan, Martin Scorsese & Akira Kurosawa). He perfected his craft on short films with the star of 14 films by Ray, French Legion winner Soumitra Chatterjee and the composer for the Apu Trilogy widely considered one of history's greatest films 5 time Grammy winner Ravi Shankar as well as Master of Composition Nemai Ghosh who worked with Ray for 25 years and was his official biographer. SØHØ also worked on projects alongside various celebrities including Stanley KubricK's protege Shirley Douglas (wife of Don Sutherland, mother of Keifer Sutherland) and the Action Coordinator of Hong Kong legend John Woo (Mission Impossible 2, Face Off, The Killer, Hard Boiled). SØHØ 's work is also inspired by Spielberg and Lucas' favorite director Kurosawa who has a connection to the SØHØ Museum— especially the Japanese Bushido themes as well as the color coordinated cinematography of Ran which can be seen in Destiny: A Star is Reborn. SØHØ is also the CEO of 6 Pan Asian Cinema —the only film company to link Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, India and Canada (6PAC.jp). Further, SØHØ is Asia's first Director-Designer and his SØHØ Couture is by artisans from Harajuku to Gangnam (SØHØ.jp). A lot of SØHØ's film and fashion are inspired by SØHØ Museum — one of the world's top collections of Asian Art. (SØHØMuseum.jp). As an actor, SØHØ crafted a dancer's 6 pack abs and performed all of the choreography himself like Jaafar Jackson in Michael and Natalie Portman in Black Swan.

The Co-Star

National Award-winning Paraplegic Powerhouse

National Award-winning paraplegic MJ Baek delivers a powerful, nuanced performance, challenging conventions and redefining strength on a global stage. Unfortunately Baek broke his back during his first feature film in Korea and is making a stunning comeback in Destiny: A Star is Reborn. Instead of the sympathy tropes associated with disabled actors, Baek plays a strong CEO of Destiny Records who prefers to be totally independent by doing everything himself to prove that People with disabilities can be just as confident as others. Baek has been honored as a National hero in Korea by 2 Presidents of Korea.
